Solution Architect - Client Engineering

About the role

The Solution Architect acts as the primary technical owner for assigned customer accounts such as CelcomDigi, XL Axiata, Telin, Bank Muamalat and emerging customers. The role builds long-term technical relationships, turns customer needs into structured Business Requirements Documents, maintains customer roadmaps and drives customer-specific demos that increase adoption and expansion of the platforms. It is a hybrid position based in Colombo.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main engineering contact for assigned customers across releases and platforms, and hold regular technical meetings to understand their challenges and priorities
• Proactively identify use cases and opportunities to grow platform adoption
• Capture enhancement requests, change requests and new feature requests, and produce validated BRDs
• Maintain a roadmap for each customer, track requirements and progress, and present validated BRDs in the weekly Client Engineering - Practices review
• Identify whitespace opportunities, adjacent modules and expansion initiatives
• Own and maintain the Client Engineering demo environment, design customer-specific demos and build a repository of reusable demos for Malaysia and Indonesia
• Partner with Sales and the COO organisation, provide technical guidance, own technical follow-up and support opportunity qualification

Required profile

• Customer-first problem-solving mindset
• Ability to translate technical complexity into business value
• Strong documentation skills (BRDs, roadmaps, solution documentation)
• Vendor submissions required within 12 months

Required skills

• Solutioning architecture and design skills
• Telecom domain expertise, including BSS/OSS, charging, provisioning and network APIs
• API and integration architecture knowledge
• Understanding of fintech and payment ecosystems
