Senior Executive Human Resources

About the role

A global supply chain and logistics company is looking for a motivated, approachable and detail-oriented Senior Executive Human Resources in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The role covers HR operations, payroll coordination, compliance and employee engagement, and is full-time and on-site.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end HR operations and manage the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, confirmations, promotions, transfers and separations.
• Coordinate monthly payroll inputs, including overtime and employee data updates, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• Manage background verification processes and employee benefits administration.
• Ensure compliance with Sri Lankan labour laws, statutory requirements, internal policies and procedures, including EPF and ETF.
• Develop, implement and maintain HR policies, procedures and SOPs, and keep HR records accurate, up to date and audit-ready.
• Act as the main point of contact for employee HR queries and concerns.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives such as employee connect sessions and pulse surveys.
• Prepare HR reports, dashboards and insights, and identify ways to streamline and automate HR processes through HRIS platforms and digital tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field, or a recognised professional HR qualification.
• 3-5 years of experience in HR operations, with exposure to HR analytics and employee engagement; CIPM or CIPD qualification is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan labour laws and statutory requirements.
• Good English communication skills and a friendly, professional personality.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team, with strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms.
• Confidence in using AI tools to improve productivity and streamline HR processes.
