Senior Executive - Human Resources

About the role

EFL Global is hiring a Senior Executive for its Shared Services department in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The role oversees end-to-end HR operations, from the employee lifecycle to payroll, compliance and employee engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end HR operations, including onboarding, confirmations, promotions, transfers and separations
• Manage monthly payroll inputs such as overtime and employee data changes, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
• Oversee background verification and administer employee benefits
• Ensure compliance with Sri Lankan labor laws, statutory requirements, internal policies and procedures, including EPF and ETF
• Develop, implement and maintain HR policies, procedures and SOPs
• Maintain accurate, audit-ready HR records and documentation
• Act as the main escalation point for employee HR queries and concerns
• Lead employee engagement initiatives such as connect sessions and pulse surveys
• Prepare HR reports, dashboards and insights for decision-making
• Streamline and automate HR processes using HRIS platforms and digital tools

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field, or a recognized professional HR qualification
• 3 to 5 years of experience in HR operations, with exposure to HR analytics and employee engagement
• Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan labor laws and statutory requirements
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms
• Confidence using AI tools to improve productivity
• CIPM or CIPD qualification is an added advantage
