About the role
AVI is seeking a Recruitment Program Officer to support the Australian Volunteers program in Colombo. The role involves delivering a seamless volunteer recruitment service and coordinating inputs from Australia and the local office.
Key responsibilities
- Support the operations of the Australian Volunteers program in Sri Lanka.
- Deliver a seamless volunteer recruitment service.
- Coordinate inputs from multiple sources within Australia and the in‑country office.
- Provide responsive, high‑quality recruitment support and administrative services.
Required profile
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, International Relations, HR) or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge and experience in recruitment strategies, behavioural interviewing and reference checking.
- Experience supporting international programmes, preferably in a development context.
- Cross‑cultural awareness and ability to work with diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to the values, goals and objectives of the Australian Volunteers Program and AVI.
