Technical Lead - DevOps / Software Engineering

About the role

A Technical Lead position in DevOps and Software Engineering, advertised by Bridge Talent in Colombo, Sri Lanka, to drive the architecture, deployment and reliability of SaaS platforms. The role covers designing scalable, highly available infrastructure across multiple regions, applying DevOps and SRE best practices, and leading and mentoring engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Architect all DevOps/SRE areas for three products and own the deployment architecture of the SaaS platform
• Identify reliability measures needed to ensure high availability of mission-critical deployments across regions
• Lead a team of highly skilled engineers and mentor them
• Work closely with development and solution teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions
• Ensure timely delivery and high quality of all SRE work

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent qualification
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps combined with software engineering
• Extensive experience in distributed systems
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes, GCP, Docker, observability tools, middleware, Helm, Ansible and Linux system administration
• Experience troubleshooting performance issues in backend services, databases, message brokers and load balancers
• Experience managing technical teams
• Very good communication skills in Sinhala and English
