Tech Lead - DevOps

About the role

A Technical Lead - DevOps is sought to lead DevOps teams and drive CI/CD automation, cloud infrastructure, deployment architecture, monitoring and DevSecOps practices. The role provides technical leadership, optimizes DevOps processes, ensures delivery quality and supports reliable and secure software deployments. It is a hybrid position based in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Key responsibilities

• Adapt to the organization's DevOps culture and take ownership of DevOps activities in assigned projects
• Lead DevOps teams and review their work to ensure quality
• Lead CI/CD automation, pipeline implementation and integration, and design deployment architectures
• Optimize DevOps practices through process improvements and new technologies
• Take part in SDLC stages when needed, maintain sprint trackers, identify and mitigate risks, and lead estimation
• Lead teams on system performance measurement and monitoring, and help support teams meet SLAs
• Take part in system integration testing and conduct DevSecOps practices

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, IT or Systems/Networking
• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, networking, IT or telecommunications
• Demonstrated experience leading DevOps teams
• Solid understanding of systems, networking and software fundamentals
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills

Required skills

• UNIX-based operating systems
• Scripting (Bash, Ansible, Python, Terraform) and coding (Java, Angular, React, PHP)
• CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, SonarQube, Kubernetes, Docker, SCM tools)
• Monitoring and logging (Prometheus, Grafana)
• One or more cloud platforms
• DBMS administration and system and network security (DevSecOps)
• Scrum and Agile practices
