Executive - MIS

About the role

Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka & Finance PLC (MBSL), a subsidiary of Bank of Ceylon, is hiring a full-time, on-site Executive for its Management Information System (MIS) function in Colombo. The role covers preparing MIS reports and analysing data to support management decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare MIS reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Understand banking, recovery and operational processes and manipulate data according to management's requirements.
• Work on data and generate various types of reports independently.
• Maintain a high level of data analysis and accuracy.
• Use good communication and analytical skills to support decision making, working under pressure and meeting deadlines.

Required profile

• Passed G.C.E. Advanced Level.
• A degree or professional qualification in Business Administration, Business Management, Management, Finance, Banking or a related discipline is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience, including MIS reporting, MS Excel and dashboard generation.
• Strong understanding of financial operations, MIS and reporting processes.
• Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills; self-driven, results-oriented and adaptable to change.
• Maximum age limit: below 35 years.

Required skills

• Excellent MS Office skills, with the ability to present reports professionally.
• Proficiency in Macros, SQL and Visual Basic (VB) is an added advantage.
