Senior Software Engineer

About the role

H2O.ai is building a Kubernetes‑based platform that orchestrates AI engines and compute environments in the cloud. As a Senior Software Engineer you will work on the full stack of this cloud‑native platform, from operators and APIs to production‑grade features for security‑focused customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship scalable applications using Kubernetes, Go, Python, Protobuf, gRPC and REST APIs.
• Contribute to a microservices architecture, ensuring services are robust, observable and easy to maintain.
• Package and deploy applications with Helm, managing lifecycle in multi‑tenant Kubernetes clusters.
• Debug, test, and refine code to meet high reliability and security standards.
• Lead technical discussions, mentor junior team members, and influence architectural decisions.

• Self‑directed with the ability to lead and mentor a growing engineering team.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and curiosity about low‑level system behavior.
