Chief Data Officer

About the role

The organization seeks a visionary Chief Data Officer to lead its data strategy, governance, and AI-driven transformation within the banking and financial services sector. This senior leader will shape how data is managed, analyzed, and leveraged to create business value.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi‑year enterprise data strategy aligned with digital transformation goals.
• Establish data governance frameworks, master data management, and data quality processes.
• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of data lakes, data warehouses, cloud data platforms, and analytics environments.
• Drive AI, machine learning, generative AI, and advanced analytics initiatives.
• Partner with executive leadership to embed data‑driven decision making across the organization.
• Ensure compliance with BCBS 239, PDPA, GDPR, and other regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with the CIO on enterprise data architecture, including Data Mesh and Lakehouse approaches.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience in data strategy, governance, and AI initiatives.
• Proven ability to manage enterprise‑wide data platforms and analytics infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance for banking data (e.g., BCBS 239, PDPA, GDPR).
