Senior Data Scientist / Technical Lead - Generative AI

About the role

EY GDS Data and Analytics is looking for a Senior/Technical Lead Data Scientist with 3 to 7 years of experience in data science and machine learning, ideally with work in NLP, generative AI, LLMs, MLOps and AI solution architecture. You will help design and implement AI solutions, including generative AI models and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement state-of-the-art AI solutions and assist in building AI models using LLMs and generative AI.
• Work with stakeholders to define AI project goals and tailor solutions to business needs.
• Use Azure OpenAI GPT models and Hugging Face Transformers, and integrate with relevant APIs and libraries.
• Build and optimize end-to-end pipelines, using vector databases such as Redis and NoSQL databases, and similarity search techniques.
• Evaluate advanced techniques such as transfer learning, domain adaptation and model compression, and set metrics for AI output quality.
• Curate, clean and preprocess large datasets, and ensure data privacy, security and ethical standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; a Ph.D. is a plus.
• 3 to 7 years of experience in data science and machine learning.
• Deep knowledge of machine learning, deep learning and generative AI, and familiarity with computer vision.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Strong collaboration with software engineering and operations teams.

Required skills

• Python, R, TensorFlow or PyTorch; NLP frameworks such as BERT, GPT or Transformers.
• Data engineering: data curation, cleaning and preprocessing.
• Trusted AI practices, fairness, transparency and accountability.
• Nice to have: MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Terraform or CloudFormation, and optimization tools such as Mixed Integer Programming.
