Senior Aviation Safety Compliance Supervisor

About the role

SriLankan is looking for a Senior Aviation Safety Compliance Supervisor to support the Senior Manager Group Safety in meeting regulatory (CAASL) and industry (IATA) safety compliance requirements. The role works with internal stakeholders and external authorities to plan and run the safety management system, with special emphasis on safety assurance through audits and inspections.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and carry out safety audits and inspections across internal operations and external service providers, in line with the SMS manual, and prepare calendars, checklists and resource allocations with safety managers.
• Prepare audit and inspection reports and ensure the risk register (AQD) is completed on time.
• Help respond to findings from the CAASL, IOSA, ISAGO and corporate airlines, taking corrective action and handling correspondence independently.
• Maintain audit and inspection records in hard and soft copy, and help build trend analyses of findings and share them with stakeholders.
• Help prepare presentation slides for department, SAG, Head of SAG and SRB meetings, and finalise minutes.
• Assist in safety investigations by organising interviews, gathering evidence and coordinating with external parties; ensure investigation reports are entered into the AQD and recommendations are acted upon.
• Act as the main administrator of the Aviation Quality database (AQD) and train users, and help safety managers complete AQD tasks accurately and on time.

Required profile

• 6 passes at GCE O/L with 4 credits in one sitting, including English, and 2 passes at GCE A/L, with 5 years' experience; or the same O/L results plus a full professional qualification (at least a diploma, minimum one year of study) and 3 years' experience.
• Upper age limit of 30 years as of 01 November 2026.
• Sri Lankan citizen; employment is on a fixed-term contract.
• Aviation-related work experience is an added advantage.
