Junior Purchasing Officer

About the role

Lvra Global is looking for a Junior Purchasing Officer to join its Colombo office. This full‑time position supports day‑to‑day procurement activities, ensuring that purchases are processed accurately and align with company policies and budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and prepare purchase orders.
• Source suppliers, obtain quotations, and assist with basic contract negotiations under guidance.
• Monitor delivery timelines, coordinate with internal teams and vendors, and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and support inventory tracking.
• Contribute to reporting and analysis of purchasing data to improve cost efficiency and supplier performance.

Required profile

• Understanding of purchasing processes and documentation.
• Analytical ability to compare quotes and evaluate supplier performance.
• Attention to detail and strong record‑keeping skills.
• Good communication skills for internal and external coordination.
• Educational background in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance or related field; entry‑level experience is a plus.
