Business Development Manager – Industrial Services

About the role

WPS Inplace is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead growth across Sri Lanka’s industrial sectors. Based in Colombo, you will work on‑site to identify new opportunities, nurture key accounts, and drive revenue for our industrial, energy, infrastructure and manufacturing services.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and qualify leads, develop a robust sales pipeline and close new business.
• Manage and expand strategic accounts within engineering, power, oil & gas, and related industries.
• Prepare and present service proposals, support tender submissions and lead commercial negotiations.
• Collaborate with technical and operational teams to tailor solutions to client needs.
• Monitor market trends, identify growth opportunities and maintain strong relationships with EPC contractors, consultants and government bodies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 10 years of proven experience in business development, sales or key‑account management within industrial sectors.
• Demonstrated track record of meeting revenue targets and winning new contracts.
• Established network in the Sri Lankan industrial market, including EPC contractors and government organisations.
• Leadership experience managing sales teams or strategic initiatives.
