Assistant Manager, Financial Control (FTC: 9-12 months)

About the role

LSEG is hiring an Assistant Manager, Financial Control for a fixed-term contract of 9 to 12 months. The role manages and supports interim Project Accounting and Fixed Asset Accounting processes within the Finance Centre of Excellence until the Group's ERP implementation is completed. It covers day-to-day accounting, month-end close and reporting, account reconciliations, issue resolution and operational improvements, working with finance teams and partners to support the ERP transition.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting, accounting and control activities for entities in scope during the ERP transition.
• Maintain interim Project Accounting and Fixed Asset Accounting processes and document interim processes, SOPs and key controls.
• Build training materials and process documentation to support knowledge transfer.
• Ensure adherence to Group accounting policies, procedures and financial control requirements.
• Support account reconciliation, month-end close and reporting, and the external audit process for entities in scope.
• Work with ERP project teams, Finance CoE teams and other parties to support interim processes and the transition to the target ERP operating model.
• Support the implementation, testing and stabilisation of new systems, processes and controls.

Required profile

• Professional accounting degree with 5 years' experience in general accounting; part qualification or degree with experience also considered.
• Background in finance shared services is an added advantage; experience of a similar scope is a strong benefit.
• Experience handling cross-geography relationships and a large team.
• Ability to work according to UK work hours.

Required skills

• Strong Excel skills and confidence with sophisticated spreadsheets.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, Oracle Fusion and Blackline accounting systems is an added advantage.
• Strong process orientation, reporting framework design and stakeholder engagement.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
