Analyst, Operational Support, Market Operations

About the role

LSEG is hiring an Analyst, Operational Support for its market operations in Colombo. The role supports the day-to-day operational readiness and resilience of DSM services through proactive monitoring, operational checks, incident identification and escalation, and effective stakeholder communication. It covers start-of-day, intraday and end-of-day processes and BAU activities in a highly operational, time-sensitive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled operational and system-readiness checks across DSM services, validating applications, system connectivity, front-end tools and processes
• Run reference-data and operational checks across start-of-day, intraday and end-of-day processes, including first-day trading checks
• Monitor market transitions, trading sessions and operational processes, and escalate issues through the right channels
• Manage technical incidents and functional queries, keeping stakeholders informed and recording events in ITSM tools
• Assess potential business, technical, operational and client impacts and support operational handovers and continuity
• Contribute to continuous improvement, automation and tooling enhancements, and support new services and changes entering BAU

Required profile

• Relevant experience in incident management, operational support, technical support, financial services or a similar controlled, time-sensitive environment
• Strong analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and follow established procedures and escalation frameworks
• Clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Shift patterns: Start of Day (5:30 AM to 2:30 PM), Intraday (12:30 PM to 9:30 PM) and End of Day (8:30 PM to 5:30 AM, as needed)

Required skills

• Advantageous: automation and RPA (Leapwork, UiPath, Microsoft Power Automate); scripting (Python, JavaScript, HTML, JSON)
• Advantageous: monitoring (Datadog, Control-M), DevOps (DXOne), data (Snowflake, SQL, Power BI), cloud (AWS Lambda, EC2, S3), low-code (Power Apps)
• Advantageous: IT service management (ServiceNow, Jira), Agile/Sprint, and knowledge of equities, securities and capital markets
