Supply Chain Manager

About the role

The Supply Chain Manager will lead the end‑to‑end logistics, inventory, and import operations for a duty‑free retail business. This role ensures efficient movement of goods, compliance with regulations, and alignment of supply‑chain strategy with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement supply‑chain strategies, manage budgets, and establish KPIs, policies, SOPs, and internal controls.
• Lead inventory planning and replenishment, monitor stock availability, aging, rotation, and expiry while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
• Oversee import, logistics, and warehouse operations, including customs clearance, transportation, storage, and dispatch of duty‑free goods.
• Ensure compliance with Sri Lanka Customs, Colombo Port City Economic Commission, NMRA, SLSI, and other regulatory bodies; maintain licenses, permits, and audit‑ready documentation.
• Manage relationships and contracts with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, transport providers, and warehouses; negotiate terms and monitor service levels.
• Lead and develop supply‑chain and warehouse teams, coordinating with Category, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Administration departments.
• Identify and mitigate supply‑chain risks, implement contingency measures, and handle cost recovery and dispute resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in supply‑chain, logistics, or warehouse management, preferably in a retail or duty‑free environment.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations and import procedures in Sri Lanka.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and work cross‑functionally.
