Senior Executive – Demand & Production Planning

About the role

We are partnering with a leading FMCG company in Gampaha to find a Senior Executive – Demand & Production Planning. The role is analytical and results‑driven, focusing on accurate demand forecasting, efficient production scheduling and optimal inventory management.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse historical sales data, market trends and customer insights to generate precise demand forecasts.
• Develop and maintain production schedules that meet customer demand while maximising resource utilisation.
• Manage inventory levels to ensure product availability and minimise excess stock.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Procurement and Production teams to ensure seamless planning and execution.
• Identify gaps between forecast and actual demand, propose corrective actions and monitor performance.
• Prepare regular reports on demand forecasts, production schedules and inventory performance.
• Ensure all planning activities comply with company policies and industry standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in demand planning, production planning or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with planning software.
• Experience using ERP/SAP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
