HR Shared Services Intern

About the role

IFS is hiring an HR Shared Services Intern in Colombo. The intern ensures that the HR Shared Services Centre delivers a strong employee experience to stakeholders globally and embeds company values in everything it does. The role is the first point of contact for HR queries covering the employee life cycle, from on-boarding to off-boarding, and includes both regular and ad hoc tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Support HR administration on document handling related to the employee life cycle, making sure end-to-end processes follow company procedures.
• Use IFS Thor (Cloud) to update employee record data in line with standard operating procedures.
• Respond to and act on tickets in Assyst (the ticketing system) according to procedures set by in-country HR teams and managers.
• Act as first-line support for employees' IFS Thor (Cloud) queries, investigating and resolving errors quickly and efficiently.
• Help HR teams correct data inaccuracies, such as incorrect reporting lines, and support document uploads to employee records.

Required profile

• Undergraduate or graduate in a Human Resources discipline preferred.
• 6 months of internship experience is acceptable, but no more than 1 year of experience.
• Previous internship experience in IT or shared services is beneficial.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with HRIS systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of IFS Thor (Cloud) and Assyst is useful.
