Head of Audit & Compliance – Hospitality

About the role

Our client, a leading hotel operator, is seeking a strategic Head of Audit & Compliance to lead the internal audit function. The role provides independent assurance on governance, risk management, internal controls and regulatory compliance, supporting the Board and senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an annual risk‑based internal audit plan covering all business functions.
• Lead audit engagements in line with professional standards and monitor corrective actions.
• Evaluate internal control systems, assess organisational risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies, and coordinate with external auditors and regulators.
• Lead, mentor and develop the internal audit team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Prepare and present audit reports, risk assessments and recommendations to executive management and the Audit Committee.
• Promote best practices in auditing, identify opportunities for operational efficiency and stay abreast of emerging risks and industry trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Business Administration or related field.
• Professional qualification such as CIA, CA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent; Master’s degree (MBA, Finance, Accounting) is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in auditing, risk management or compliance.
• At least 5 years in a senior audit leadership or management role.
