Executive – Inventory Control (Warehouse Operations)

About the role

The Executive – Inventory Control will coordinate and monitor end‑to‑end inventory operations for Cargills’ Dark Stores, ensuring stock accuracy, availability and compliance with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor inventory operations of Dark Stores, maintaining real‑time system accuracy.
• Record all stock adjustments with valid reasons and supporting documentation.
• Align physical stock with system records and conduct cycle counts and full stock counts as scheduled.
• Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to support smooth inventory processes.
• Identify, segregate, and record expired or damaged stock, processing necessary system adjustments and reports.
• Monitor put‑away and shelf replenishment to ensure timely completion and optimal availability.
• Support item availability through timely receiving, prompt GRN closure, and efficient handling of damages and expiry returns.
• Process and close all Goods Received Notes (GRNs) within required timelines.
• Undertake any additional projects or tasks as requested by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse operations or a related area.
• Strong multitasking, prioritisation and time‑management abilities.
• Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail, accuracy and integrity.
• Proactive, results‑driven attitude with ownership mindset.
• Willingness to work onsite at the Colombo 4 office.

Required skills

• Hands‑on knowledge of Info‑log WMS or similar warehouse management systems.
