Executive - Inventory Control

About the role

We are seeking an Executive – Inventory Control to oversee end‑to‑end inventory operations for our Dark Stores in Colombo. The role ensures stock accuracy, timely availability and compliance with company standards, supporting Cargills’ commitment to operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor inventory processes across Dark Stores, maintaining real‑time stock accuracy.
• Record all stock adjustments with valid reasons and supporting documentation.
• Align physical stock with system records, conducting cycle counts and full stock counts as scheduled.
• Liaise with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth inventory flow.
• Identify, segregate and process expired or damaged stock, updating the system and generating reports.
• Oversee put‑away and shelf‑replenishment activities to guarantee optimal stock availability.
• Manage goods receipt, close Goods Received Notes (GRNs) promptly, and handle damages and expiry returns.
• Support additional projects or tasks as directed by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse operations or similar.
• Strong multitasking, prioritisation and time‑management abilities.
• Highly organised with keen attention to detail and a proactive, results‑driven attitude.
• Willingness to work onsite at our Colombo office.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Info‑log WMS or comparable warehouse management systems.
