Business Development Executive – Bridal Fashion and Retail

About the role

The Business Development Executive – Bridal Fashion and Retail will lead growth initiatives for Be Desi’s bridal and retail segments in Sri Lanka. Based in the North Western Province, this full‑time position focuses on generating new business, nurturing key accounts, and building strategic partnerships with boutiques, wedding planners and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the bridal and retail markets.
• Generate and nurture leads, conduct prospecting and client meetings.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with boutiques, wedding planners and related stakeholders.
• Manage key accounts, monitor sales performance and drive upselling and retention.
• Collaborate with marketing and retail teams to design and implement growth initiatives.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate agreements and ensure high‑quality service delivery.
• Stay updated on bridal fashion trends, competitor activity and market dynamics to support data‑driven decisions.

Required profile

• Proven new‑business development and lead generation experience, preferably in fashion, bridal wear or retail.
• Strong understanding of commercial principles, sales planning and revenue growth strategies.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated account‑management capabilities, including upselling and client retention.
• Ability to work on‑site, collaborate across functions and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Organizational and negotiation skills with attention to detail.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Management or a related field is an advantage.
