Associate Manager, Accounts Receivable

About the role

The Associate Manager, Accounts Receivable manages the day-to-day billing of the service lines of the London Stock Exchange for existing and potential customers. The role ensures that processes and policies are followed and that pre-determined objectives, KPIs and schedules are met. It is a senior associate position.

Key responsibilities

• Support Sales and Sales Operations with the setup, validation and invoicing of new business contracts.
• Manage the Billing Operations mailbox and ServiceNow queue, supervising requests within agreed service levels.
• Monitor contract progress across Sales, Master Data, Billing and customers, and complete billing checklists and contract reviews.
• Ensure revenue contracts are set up accurately and invoices are issued correctly, supervise billing runs and resolve interface or processing issues.
• Review, validate and process variable billing transactions, and coordinate quarterly and annual invoices.
• Review team members' work, prepare draft credit notes and rebill documentation, and respond to stakeholder queries.
• Prepare month-end revenue accruals and bad debt provisions, and support internal and external audits.
• Coach and support team members, and identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen controls.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, or a professional accounting qualification (or studying towards one).
• At least three years of accounting experience; Accounts Receivable or billing experience in a large organization is an advantage.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate across teams and communicate in English.
• Flexibility to work in UK business hours.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with ERP or financial systems such as Oracle is desirable.
