Account Manager - Account Excellence (Manager Level)

About the role

EY is hiring an Account Manager (Account Excellence, manager level) in Colombo. The Account Manager drives account growth strategies, acts as a central point of contact for global team connectivity and serves as a trusted advisor and subject matter resource on the account within the firm.

Key responsibilities

• Suggest and execute action plans to accelerate account growth strategies with global account leadership
• Co-facilitate semi-annual account planning and quarterly acceleration sessions
• Manage select client relationships such as Procurement or Vendor Relations
• Collaborate across functions to improve client experience and engagement
• Advocate for sector strategies and priority service offerings, and activate curated solutions and managed services
• Foster internal firm relationships so operational matters are routed appropriately
• Project manage key deal pursuits and assist with proposal responses
• Co-develop account onboarding for new leadership and team members
• Promote adoption of digital tools and processes, and use firm tools for relationship mapping, white spot analysis and innovation

Required profile

• 10-17 years of experience in a professional services firm; sales enablement experience preferred
• Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field
• Consulting experience, internal or external, preferably in a global matrixed organization
• Proven success leading complex projects with minimal supervision
• Sector relevance (life sciences, technology, wealth management, consumer, energy, etc.) is a plus

Required skills

• Executive-level communication and consultative skills, strong networking and emotional intelligence
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint)
• Analysis and presentation creation, basic understanding of financial reporting tools
• Preferred: familiarity with project management and procurement portals, negotiation with internal stakeholders, Microsoft BI, and sales/account management tools (LENS, BASE, ART, Dynamics, Mercury, E4A)
