Senior Executive / Assistant Manager Procurement – Hospitality

About the role

A leading 4‑star hotel chain in Sri Lanka seeks an experienced procurement professional to oversee end‑to‑end purchasing for hotel operations. The role focuses on strategic sourcing, supplier management, cost control and ensuring timely delivery of quality goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities across all hotel departments, including F&B, housekeeping, engineering and OS&E.
• Source, evaluate quotations and negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery conditions with suppliers.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships and conduct supplier evaluations.
• Monitor market prices, identify cost‑saving opportunities and support budgeting and purchasing analysis.
• Coordinate with F&B, culinary, finance, engineering, housekeeping and stores to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
• Maintain procurement documentation, purchase requisitions and purchase orders while ensuring compliance with internal policies.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Hospitality Management or a related field.
• 4–7 years of procurement/purchasing experience, preferably in a 4‑star or 5‑star hotel environment.
• Strong exposure to F&B and general hotel procurement, with proven negotiation and vendor‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP procurement systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
