Accounting Clerk – All Levels (Automotive)

About the role

Join the nation’s largest privately held automotive group as an Accounting Clerk. You will handle daily cash transactions, process payments, and support title and warranty documentation while gaining exposure to multiple accounting functions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and handle daily cash deposits and enter finalized cash receipts.
• Update the accounts receivable ledger and process credit card deposits.
• File check stubs, bank receipts, and reconcile cash balances.
• Research and process customer invoice claims, charge backs, returns, and bad checks.
• Maintain credit applications for recurring accounts and record sales‑tax exempt information.
• Prepare tax, title, and legal transfer documents for vehicle sales.
• Assist with special projects and ensure compliance with company standards and safety regulations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical experience; automotive dealership experience a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Familiarity with dealership management systems such as CDK or Reynolds & Reynolds.
