Sales Manager

About the role

Datacomm, a B2B IT managed‑services and systems‑integration firm, is creating dedicated account teams across multiple industry verticals in Sri Lanka. The company is looking for a Sales Manager who will build and lead a new sales team, own revenue targets and ensure the delivery of outcome‑focused solutions to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Set and own sales targets, develop pipeline discipline and drive deals to closure.
• Recruit, manage and coach a team of Account Executives across defined industry sectors.
• Conduct regular deal reviews, establish activity standards and make pricing or escalation decisions.
• Collaborate with technical and delivery teams to align sales promises with actual capabilities.
• Report directly to the founder on performance metrics, forecasting and team growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a B2B sales team, ideally within IT, telecom or technical services.
• Track record of achieving team‑level revenue targets.
• Comfort building sales structures from the ground up without an existing playbook.
• Ability to sell and coach others on value‑based, outcome‑oriented solutions rather than price‑only arguments.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HPE/Aruba, Cisco, Fortinet and Juniper product portfolios.
