Purchasing Executive

About the role

Aman is hiring a Purchasing Executive in Amangalla, within the historic Galle Fort area. The role sources and procures goods and services needed for hotel operations, working closely with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely delivery, proper inventory control and efficient procurement.

Key responsibilities

• Source and procure goods and services in line with company purchasing policies and procedures.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations, negotiate with suppliers and recommend the best products based on quality, price and operational needs.
• Ensure timely delivery of all orders so hotel operations run without interruption.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier documentation and audit-ready files.
• Coordinate with department heads, suppliers and receiving teams for smooth procurement and inventory.
• Monitor inventory levels, manage the main beverage store and look for cost savings and process improvements.

Required profile

• Diploma or professional qualification in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory control, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong negotiation, communication and supplier relationship management skills.
• Good knowledge of procurement procedures, inventory management and cost control.
• Attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
