Production Engineer

About the role

Variosystems AG is seeking a Production Engineer to lead new product introductions and drive process improvements across its manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead NPI and production readiness activities, ensuring manpower, machines, tools and processes are prepared.
• Analyze and optimise manufacturing processes to increase productivity, reduce waste and improve cost efficiency.
• Develop and enforce quality control measures, handling corrective and preventive actions for non‑conformities.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and 5S initiatives to boost operational performance.
• Identify and resolve technical production issues related to processes, materials, suppliers and customers.
• Monitor production KPIs and implement systems to consistently meet targets.
• Promote health and safety compliance, maintaining a safe working environment.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in a similar engineering role within wire harness, automotive or electronics manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a data‑driven approach.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate across functions.

Required skills

• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S methodologies.
• Quality tools such as FMEA, root cause analysis and control plans.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Manufacturing process knowledge, line balancing and process flow.
