Maintenance Manager

About the role

Michelin, the worldwide leader in tires, is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead a team responsible for equipment availability and reliability. The role focuses on optimizing maintenance costs, energy consumption and supporting production goals for safety, quality and productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and continuously improve maintenance strategies based on equipment criticality and process parameters.
• Optimize intervention effectiveness through analysis of results and corrective actions on short‑ and medium‑term horizons.
• Control maintenance costs by improving operational efficiency, energy use and spare‑parts consumption.
• Ensure equipment durability, manage obsolescence and maintain cleanliness and orderliness standards.
• Adapt resources through competency planning, training, and succession initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent.
• 4‑5 years of experience in mechanical or mechatronics engineering.
• Strong communication skills in English and Sinhala.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Experience with CMMS (SAP PM preferred).
• Knowledge of condition‑based maintenance techniques such as thermography, vibration and ultrasound analysis.
• Expertise in predictive maintenance, lubrication management and reliability engineering methods (RCA, FMEA, Pareto analysis).
