Junior Events & Content Associate

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Events & Content Associate to support the planning, execution, and promotion of our startup‑focused events. You will work on‑site in Colombo, helping to bring workshops, networking sessions and conferences to life while creating engaging visual content.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and run workshops, networking sessions, conferences and showcases from concept to completion.
• Capture event footage and edit highlight reels, recaps and social‑media videos.
• Manage on‑the‑day technical setup such as internet, microphones and projectors.
• Design promotional graphics and social‑media posts using Canva.
• Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, partners and community members.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in events, videography or a related field (fresh graduates welcome).
• Creative eye for photography and video with basic editing ability.
• Comfortable setting up simple AV equipment or eager to learn quickly.
• Strong communication skills, highly organized and able to stay calm under pressure.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, across multiple Hatch locations.
