Engineering Project Manager (m/f/d)

About the role

Variosystems AG is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead multiple hardware design projects across PCB and mechanical domains. You will act as the central coordination point, ensuring projects stay on schedule, risks are managed, and customers receive clear updates.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and track progress of parallel hardware engineering projects, flagging risks and schedule slips early.
• Drive technical discussions with customers, translating engineering status, trade‑offs, and risks into clear updates and decisions.
• Coordinate prototype builds end‑to‑end with manufacturing and TPM teams to meet build dates.
• Manage RFQ processes for components, PCBs, and mechanical parts, comparing suppliers and driving cost, lead‑time, and quality decisions.
• Own and maintain project schedules, milestones, and status reporting in JIRA or equivalent.
• Derive Statement of Work documents outlining project scope and engage with global marketing on go‑to‑market strategy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic, Mechanical, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Hands‑on experience with JIRA for project management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage several concurrent projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
