Technical Sales Manager – Apparel Industry

About the role

Talent Studio is recruiting a Technical Sales Manager for a leading global client in the textile and apparel sector. The role combines deep technical knowledge of garment manufacturing with commercial leadership to drive growth and solve shop‑floor challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Drive profitable sales growth through technical consulting and strategic account management.
• Partner with apparel brands and vendors to deliver value‑driven technical solutions, including sewing and thread advisory services.
• Conduct factory audits, cost analysis and performance optimisation to improve productivity.
• Diagnose and resolve shop‑floor issues such as thread breakage, puckering, machine adjustments and productivity bottlenecks.
• Lead product development initiatives tailored to customer requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across corporate and factory operations.
• Develop commercial strategies to increase market share and strengthen long‑term partnerships.
• Collaborate with regional and global teams to deliver innovative customer solutions.
• Deliver technical training programmes and support knowledge sharing across internal and customer teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Textile, Mechanical, Industrial or related); MBA or postgraduate qualification preferred.
• 8–10 years of experience in readymade garments, apparel or textile manufacturing.
• Proven background in technical sales, customer advisory, business development or strategic account management.
• Strong understanding of garment manufacturing processes, sewing technology and factory operations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management abilities.
