Senior Business Analyst (Ultimo Product Team)

About the role

IGT1, an offshore technology and talent solutions company based in Port City, Colombo, is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join its product team. The role takes an active part in shaping business requirements and solutions, working closely with Product Management, UX/UI, Engineering and QA on the Ultimo product. It suits someone with a strong Business Analysis background who is also interested in product, user experience, technology and AI.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business needs and turn unclear or incomplete requirements into clear, structured problems, breaking them down into tasks, responsibilities, dependencies, risks and product impacts.
• Translate business needs into clear requirements for Product, Design, Engineering and QA, including the context behind each change.
• Collect data, apply analysis and use insights to support decisions, recommendations and prioritization.
• Look beyond the immediate requirement to the wider product, user and operational impact, and recommend practical solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve product functionality, user experience and ways of working, and help connect business goals with product solutions.
• Facilitate discussions and workshops, communicate requirements and proposed solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and hold customer-facing meetings and emails.
• Prepare and give internal presentations, write clear implementation documentation, and take ownership of assigned areas.
• Use AI as part of day-to-day work, from requirement breakdown and research to documentation and ideation, and explore new AI tools and ways of working.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in Business Analysis or a similar role in a software product environment.
• Experience in an Agile software development environment and working with requirements early, before they are fully defined.
• Ability to suggest solutions and alternatives, not just document requirements.
• Good communication skills, independence and willingness to take ownership.
• Practical experience using AI tools in daily work.

Desirable

• UI/UX knowledge, experience with wireframes, user flows or prototypes, and prototyping tools such as Figma.
• Experience with Product Owners or Product Managers, enterprise software, EAM/CMMS domains, APIs and integrations, and facilitation of discovery or scoping workshops.

The company offers flexible and hybrid work options.
