About the role
We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to join the finance team of our client. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with Sri Lankan accounting standards, and supporting management with reporting and analysis.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations and payroll processing.
- Monitor cash flow, budgets and financial forecasts for group companies.
- Ensure timely statutory payments such as taxes, EPF/ETF and VAT.
- Liaise with auditors, banks and regulatory authorities.
- Support management with financial analysis and implement internal controls.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) – mandatory.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in shipping, trading or services.
- Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan accounting standards and tax regulations.
