Security Manager - Safety & Security

About the role

Radisson Hotel Group is looking for a Security Manager to join its team at a hotel in Kalpitiya. The role safeguards the safety of guests and staff and supports the smooth running of the safety and security department, with a focus on guest satisfaction and departmental targets.

Key responsibilities

• Support the smooth running of the safety and security department, keeping all aspects of safety and security to the highest level.
• Work proactively to improve guest satisfaction and comfort, responding promptly to guest enquiries.
• Deliver on plans and objectives so that safety and security initiatives and hotel targets are achieved.
• Manage the maintenance team and foster a culture of growth, development and performance.
• Control the departmental budget, including costs and inventory, while attaining productivity and performance levels.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders.
• Deliver a planned preventative maintenance programme covering maintenance, environmental and conservation matters.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, with due diligence, best practice and documentation prepared for internal and external audits, with follow-up as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in safety and security with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent managerial skills, with a hands-on, lead-by-example approach.
• Commitment to exceptional guest service and a passion for the hospitality industry.
• Ability to find creative solutions and give advice and recommendations.
• Personal integrity and the ability to work in an environment demanding excellence, time and energy.
