Relationship Manager - Bancassurance

About the role

Senior Relationship Manager for Bancassurance will convert leads, build client relationships and implement sales strategies to achieve targets for Union Assurance, a leading life insurance entity in Sri Lanka. The role is based in Colombo and works closely with bank partners to deliver tailored insurance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Converting leads received from bank partner and building strong client relationships to enhance trust.
• Conducting financial needs analysis and offering tailored insurance solutions to satisfy customer needs.
• Proactively identifying and sourcing new business opportunities through networking and referrals.
• Implementing sales strategies to meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Educating clients on product benefits, addressing queries, and providing after‑sales services to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Focusing on policy retention and renewals through consistent follow‑up and client support.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business management, sales & marketing or a related field.
• Full/part qualification from a recognized professional institute is an added advantage.
• At least 4‑5 years of sales experience in insurance or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with senior‑level stakeholders.
• Strategic thinking with a focus on business development and growth.
• Proactive, results‑driven and able to handle high‑pressure situations.
