Production Engineer (m/f/d)

About the role

Variosystems is seeking a Production Engineer to lead new product introductions and drive continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure production readiness, optimise processes, and uphold the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead NPI and production readiness activities, coordinating manpower, machines, tools, and processes.
• Analyse and improve manufacturing processes to boost productivity, reduce waste, and achieve cost efficiency.
• Develop and implement quality control measures, driving corrective and preventive actions for non‑conformities.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives to enhance operational performance.
• Identify and resolve production and technical issues related to processes, materials, suppliers, and customers.
• Monitor production KPIs and implement systems to consistently meet targets.
• Promote a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in a similar engineering role, preferably in wire‑harness, automotive, or electronics manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, line balancing, and process flow.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with quality tools such as FMEA, root‑cause analysis, and control plans.
• Knowledge of standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 (preferred).
• Analytical, data‑driven problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects and deliver results under pressure.
