Mechanical & Electrical Projects Engineer

About the role

Ansell is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Projects Engineer to lead CAPEX initiatives from concept through commissioning. The role supports the design, tendering, execution and delivery of utilities, infrastructure, fire‑protection, warehouse and R&D facilities, ensuring projects meet safety, budget and schedule targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage CAPEX projects from feasibility studies to hand‑over, preparing scopes, specifications, cost estimates and schedules.
• Support tender preparation, evaluate technical proposals and assist in contractor selection.
• Coordinate consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders throughout execution, monitoring progress, risks, budgets and quality.
• Review engineering drawings, layouts and technical submissions for utilities, HVAC, compressed air, electrical distribution, generators and fire‑protection systems.
• Assist with commissioning, testing, validation and energy‑management activities.
• Maintain project documentation, permits and compliance records in line with EHS and QMS requirements.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical or related) with proven experience in industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of utilities, HVAC, electrical distribution, generators and fire‑protection systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, track budgets and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder coordination and documentation.
