Work Study Officer – Manufacturing

About the role

The Work Study Officer will support Plastipak Lanka’s manufacturing operations by measuring work, analysing processes, and establishing standards that drive productivity and efficiency. This role reports to production management and collaborates closely with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct work measurement and time studies across production lines.
• Analyse current processes to identify improvement opportunities.
• Establish, maintain, and update standard times for operations.
• Improve productivity, efficiency, and manpower utilisation.
• Support continuous‑improvement and cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Prepare regular productivity and performance reports.
• Work closely with production and relevant departments to implement changes.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in work study, industrial engineering, or manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good knowledge of work‑study techniques and productivity improvement.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
