Laser Cutting Machine Operator & Designer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Laser Cutting Machine Operator & Designer to join our on‑site team in Sammanthurai. You will operate laser cutting equipment, create and adjust design files, and ensure high‑quality metal sheet components for roofing, cladding, and gate projects.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and run laser cutting machines for steel and other metal sheets.
• Interpret engineering drawings and produce 2D/3D laser cutting layouts using CAD tools.
• Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
• Perform routine maintenance on laser cutters and related fabrication equipment.
• Coordinate with fabrication and production teams to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in laser cutting and metal fabrication equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and measurement specifications.
• Experience with CAD software for creating and modifying cutting designs.
• Knowledge of steel sheets, roofing materials, and structural components.
• Understanding of workshop safety and quality‑control procedures.
