Junior Finance Executive

About the role

Our client is seeking a Junior/Associate – Finance to join their finance team in Colombo. The successful candidate will support day‑to‑day finance operations, maintain accurate financial records, handle client and supplier invoices, and ensure financial processes are completed efficiently and in line with required standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including posting daily transactions and updating relevant accounts.
• Perform daily and weekly bank reconciliations.
• Process and monitor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Maintain and update client and company ledgers.
• Collaborate with the Finance Manager and team members to provide accurate and timely financial information.
• Respond to finance‑related queries from clients and internal stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement of existing financial processes and procedures.
• Assist with general finance and accounting activities as required.
• Ensure all assigned tasks and financial activities are completed within agreed deadlines and quality standards.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
• Qualified or part‑qualified in CA, CIMA, or ACCA.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work according to UK business hours and calendar.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
