Industrialization Project Management Engineer (Wire Harness)

About the role

Variosystems is looking for an Engineer specialized in Industrialization Project Management for wire harness assembly. Based in Sri Lanka, you will lead new product implementations, ensuring a smooth transition from prototype to series production while maintaining high quality and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Drive project management and oversee multiple industrialization projects simultaneously.
• Supervise prototype and 0‑series production, working closely with engineers and operators.
• Optimize manufacturing processes for seamless transfer to series production.
• Manage stakeholder communication across customers, engineering, and quality teams.
• Ensure accuracy of all documentation during the NPI stage.
• Create and optimise work instructions and production processes.
• Verify and validate tools, materials, and machines during NPI.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation.
• Manage risk and quality compliance, adhering to customer and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in wire harness or electronics manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of industrialisation processes, quality standards and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to work in cross‑functional teams and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and related engineering tools.
• Proficiency in CAD software, specifically SolidWorks.
• Experience with SAP and FLx systems.
