Human Resources Manager

About the role

Abans Group of Companies, a leading Sri Lankan conglomerate, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead its HR function across multiple business units. You will be responsible for shaping talent strategy, driving performance excellence, and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end recruitment and selection for all levels, ensuring timely hiring of quality talent.
• Develop employer branding initiatives and maintain a robust talent pipeline.
• Manage the Performance Management System, including KPI cascading, performance evaluations, calibration, and talent reviews.
• Identify training and development needs, lead leadership development, succession planning, and capability‑building programs.
• Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution while promoting harmonious employee relations.
• Administer compensation and benefits structures, support remuneration reviews and market benchmarking.
• Ensure accurate payroll processing, compliance with labor laws, and adherence to HR policies.
• Maintain HR administration, attendance, leave, contracts, confirmations, and employee records.
• Continuously improve HR policies, SOPs, digitalization initiatives, and provide HR analytics and insights to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).
• 7‑9 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 4 years in a senior HR leadership role.
• Proven track record building HR structures in growing or transforming organizations.
• Strong expertise in HR policy development, talent acquisition, workforce planning, performance management, and organizational development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
