HR Lead – FMCG Sector

About the role

The HR Lead will head the end‑to‑end Human Resources function for a leading FMCG client in Sri Lanka. Acting as a true business partner, the role drives talent strategy, performance culture, diversity & inclusion and ensures compliance with local labor laws and corporate policies.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership to define and implement HR strategies aligned with business growth.
• Lead recruitment, talent pipelines, succession planning and leadership development.
• Oversee full‑cycle performance management, coaching and calibration.
• Identify capability gaps and deliver learning and development programmes.
• Champion employee experience, employer branding and culture initiatives.
• Drive the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion agenda across hiring and workplace practices.
• Develop, maintain and audit HR policies, SOPs and ensure labor‑law compliance.
• Manage payroll, compensation, benefits, HRIS and vendor relationships while safeguarding data privacy.

Required profile

• Proven HR leadership experience, preferably within FMCG or a fast‑moving environment.
• Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan labor legislation and HR compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with senior executives and influence organisational change.
• Track record of building high‑performance cultures and leading DEI initiatives.
• Experience in organization design, change management and talent development.
