Head of Finance – Renewable Energy

About the role

The Head of Finance will act as a strategic partner to the executive team, steering financial stewardship, data‑driven decision making and digital transformation for a portfolio of utility‑scale renewable energy assets based in Colombo.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership to allocate capital, design long‑term financial strategies and support exponential growth.
• Instill a finance‑first mindset across all functions, translating operating decisions into commercial impact.
• Lead end‑to‑end financial operations, optimise working capital and modernise core workflows using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Oversee multi‑entity consolidation, intercompany transactions and accurate financial reporting in compliance with LKAS, SLFRS and IFRS.
• Develop and stress‑test dynamic financial models, provide real‑time insights via BI dashboards and communicate clear narratives to the Board and investors.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in corporate finance, preferably within the renewable energy or utility sector.
• Proven ability to balance strategic capital allocation with hands‑on operational oversight.
• Strong understanding of international accounting standards and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication skills to influence executive leadership and external stakeholders.

Required skills
