Freight Forwarding Sales Executive

About the role

The Freight Forwarding Sales Executive will drive new business and nurture existing client relationships for our freight forwarding and logistics services. You will act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing quotations, negotiating terms and ensuring smooth shipment execution.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new customer relationships and business opportunities within the freight forwarding sector.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing customers, understanding their shipping and logistics needs.
• Handle customer inquiries, prepare quotations, proposals and commercial offers, and follow up to convert leads into confirmed business.
• Coordinate with internal freight operations and relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Negotiate terms with customers to achieve sales targets and support business growth.
• Maintain accurate records of inquiries, quotations, follow‑ups and sales activities.
• Support the achievement of monthly and annual sales targets and prepare basic sales reports.
• Address customer concerns professionally and collaborate with teams to resolve issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, customer service, freight forwarding or logistics.
• Fluent communication in English, Tamil and Sinhala.
• Strong customer coordination, relationship‑management and negotiation abilities.
• Target‑oriented, proactive and able to work independently or as part of a team.
