Financial Reporting Manager

About the role

The Financial Reporting Manager will lead independent technical reviews of financial statements, management accounts and related reporting packs for KLOUDAC’s UAE‑based clients. Based in Colombo, the role ensures that all financial information is accurate, fully supported and compliant with IFRS or IFRS for SMEs, while maintaining the group’s quality framework.

Key responsibilities

• Independently review draft financial statements, trial balances, general ledgers, bank reconciliations and related schedules before issuance.
• Evaluate closing entries, revenue recognition, accruals, provisions, leases, foreign currency and tax balances for compliance and accuracy.
• Develop and maintain group accounting policies, checklists, templates and working‑paper standards.
• Classify clients by reporting risk, maintain a technical issues register and coordinate with tax, audit and client‑facing teams.
• Provide technical training and coaching to accounting staff in Dubai and Sri Lanka.

Required profile

• Full professional qualification (CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent).
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in financial reporting, audit or accounting advisory with senior review responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and IFRS for SMEs, and experience with UAE VAT or Corporate Tax is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in IFRS and IFRS for SMEs.
• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with Xero, Zoho Books and QuickBooks Online.
