Data Engineer / Senior Data Engineer

About the role

The Data Engineer will develop high‑performance, scalable enterprise applications on leading cloud platforms. Working closely with data architects, data scientists and business leaders, the role focuses on designing and maintaining data pipelines that support analytics and machine‑learning models for the OCTAVE team.

Key responsibilities

• Gather requirements, assess gaps and build roadmaps for data solutions.
• Design and create data pipelines (data lakes, data warehouses) for analytical use cases.
• Define and implement ETL/ELT processes based on business needs.
• Identify and address gaps in data security, quality and automation.
• Support maintenance, bug fixing and performance tuning of data pipelines.
• Build and manage cloud‑based data services.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics (Master's preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with SQL, PL/SQL or T‑SQL in production environments.
• Proficiency in Python for data processing.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or other major cloud platforms.
• Experience with data engineering and ETL tools.
