Business Development Executive

About the role

The College of Contract Management United Kingdom is seeking an ambitious Business Development Executive to join its Colombo team. You will engage with prospective students and clients, turning enquiries into enrolments while contributing to the growth of an international education provider.

Key responsibilities

• Contact new and existing enquiries
• Make regular outbound telephone calls
• Identify and develop new opportunities
• Understand prospective students' requirements and career goals
• Introduce relevant programmes and opportunities
• Build relationships with prospective students and clients
• Follow up enquiries professionally and consistently
• Conduct consultations by telephone and online
• Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities
• Work towards individual performance targets
• Keep accurate records of conversations and follow‑ups
• Collaborate with colleagues and management to develop new business

Required profile

• Confident and persuasive communicator
• Comfortable making outbound calls
• Commercially minded and target‑driven
• Proactive, self‑motivated and organised
• Strong relationship‑building and follow‑up skills
• Persistent without being pushy
• Professional, approachable and motivated by career progression
• Previous experience in business development, student recruitment, telesales or related fields is advantageous
